Things that don't belong to a year group. Nothing here is needed to finish the curriculum — it is the part you do because you want to, and it is free whether you subscribe or not.
Why a story?
Everything else on the site practises Spanish. A story is the only place a child uses it — where the words are carrying something that matters rather than being the point themselves.
It is also how vocabulary actually sticks. A line that comes back four times gets learnt without anybody deciding to learn it, which is why every children's story ever written has one.
