About

Three teachers, 144 lessons, and an hour whenever you need it

I'm Nellie. I've taught Spanish in English secondary schools for ten years, and I wrote every one of the 144 lessons on this site. María and Teté teach the 1-2-1 sessions alongside me — both are native speakers.

Almost every primary Spanish resource assumes an adult will deliver it. That's fine in a classroom and useless at a kitchen table on a Tuesday, where the adult is tired and doesn't speak Spanish. So I wrote these the other way round: the child is the one reading the instructions, and the parent's job is to be asked a question occasionally.

Teaching secondary is why this scheme ends where it does. I spend every September meeting Year 7s who did some Spanish at primary and can't remember any of it. The Year 6 units are built backwards from what I actually need them to walk in knowing.

That's why the tutoring exists too. Not as an upsell — most children who use this never book one — but because sometimes another round of a game isn't the answer and a person is.

Who teaches

The three of us

You pick who you'd like when you book, or leave it to us and take whoever's free.

Safeguarding

How the online lessons are kept safe

DBS checked

All three of us hold a current DBS check. Happy to show a certificate to any parent who asks.

Parents welcome

You can sit in on any session, at any age, with no notice. For Years 1–3 I'd actually prefer it.

Recorded on request

Sessions aren't recorded by default. Ask and I'll record yours and send you the file afterwards.

Adults on the email

All booking and follow-up correspondence goes to a parent or guardian's address, never directly to a child.

Data kept small

I keep your name, email, your child's first name and year group, and the session notes. Nothing else, and it's deleted on request.

Parent references

Happy to put you in touch with families who have used the 1-2-1 sessions. Ask and I'll arrange it.

Contact

Ask me anything before you book

Genuinely — if your child doesn't need a session, I'd rather tell you that and point you at the right game. Send me the unit and the quiz score and you'll get an honest answer.
